Confidence Building for Young or Shy Dogs

Why This Class

This class includes activities to build confidence and comfort with people, other dogs and the environment. The class teaches core skills of mannerly behaviour including sit, down, stand, come when called, walk politely on leash leave it, stay, polite greetings, and attention to the handler with increasing distractions. After graduating from this class your pup can go into Good Manners- Level II.

 

Our goal is that Off-leash playtime is part of this class, but it will de dependent on the pups in the class.

PREREQUISITES

- Expected to be under 20lbs fully grown

- If your dog is expected to be larger than 20lbs as an adult you have been referred to this class by your puppy class instructor or spoken with us about this class for your dog.

Please ensure your dog is up to date on their vaccinations, including rabies, or have a letter from your veterinarian. Please read our Class Policies and Training Guidelines before you register.

Please use the "Class Schedule" button for the list of available classes.  To register for any of our classes you can use our online service to register or contact the office    This class runs with open enrollment.  This means that who is in the class may change from week to week as new teams join and others complete the class.

Why This Class

Building relationships with interactive play, brain and body training games. A good choice for the shy, active or sporty pup! 

 

PREREQUISITES

This class is for dogs who have completed Carolark’s Puppy Manners and Socialization class and are under 10 months of age.  Your dog should be dog and people safe.
