NCCPD - INFORMATION BULLETIN NO. 2008-01
CONROY PIT ACCESS ROAD CLOSED
The
National Capital Commission has notified us that
the access road to the toboggan hill at Conroy Pit
will be closed for the remainder of the
season.
The access road, open during the winter season, has long been a worry for dog owners and others who use the area and we are pleased that action has been taken to close the road. Folks who wish to toboggan will either park at the Conroy Road lot and walk to the hill or will use the parking lot adjacent to the hill.
NEW NAME
Effective January 11, 2008, our new name

PETS ON PUBLIC TRANSIT
The petition period is now over and we have more
than 1,000 signatures. We are currently
working on a report for City Council and hope to
make a presentation in the near future.
NEWSLETTER EDITOR
We are searching for a new Editor for The Dog
Guardian. The newsletter is in its 9th
year of publication and is published quarterly.
All interested parties should contact us at

SPRING CLEAN-UP DAYS
The spring clean up days are scheduled. The
Bruce Pit clean up is scheduled for Saturday, May
17, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the Conroy Pit clean up
is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, 9:00 to 11:00
a.m.
Gloves and bags will be provided and the Roger’s Community Cruiser will be serving hot coffee and donuts.
AGM
The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for
Friday, June 20th, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
at the Ottawa Citizen Conference Centre, 1101
Baxter Road. A reminder will be issued
closer to the date of AGM.
